You can get all kind of low-cost automobile stereo decks from China, but where’s the fun in that? [Sentcool] is an IT expert and electrician, and he made a decision he desired something a bit a lot more special for his automobile — so he developed this remarkable Raspberry Pi automobile setup!
He’s utilizing a Raspberry Pi design B R2, a common LCD automobile display (from China), a little 12V audio amplifier and an NF filter. The picture above is from the very first test of all the elements together. He originally wished to utilize a touch screen, but believed it may be as well costly for the project, so instead he’s thoroughly soldered switches onto some ribbon cable television for the Pi’s GPIOs. Don’t you just like stripping ribbon cable?
From there it was just a matter of producing a great wooden deal with plate and jamming whatever into the center console of his car. It looks quite great although the buttons could utilize some work — Don’t concern though, [Sentcool] is already believing about upgrading it.
See a lot more after the break!
